In 2025, Dinky Sports hosted the first Gauteng Open, marking it as the largest pickleball tournament in South Africa at the time. This landmark event brought together over 160 players, including international competitors from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania, Egypt, Uganda, and Kenya, alongside talented local athletes. Spanning three action-packed days, the tournament featured a wide range of categories: Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles, and Masters (45+) Doubles. Held in Gauteng, the event showcased the growing popularity of pickleball in the region, fostering camaraderie and fierce competition among players of all background
